NORA tea infusions are such a great and easy way to prepare your body for pregnancy, birth, labor, postpartum, and beyond.

NORA stands for:
Nettle Leaf- every woman can benefit from nettle because it is full of iron, potassium, copper, magnesium, and calcium. These can help get better sleep, minimize leg cramps, prevent postpartum hemorrhage, and balance electrolytes in the body. Nettle also contains vitamins A, C, K and B.
Oatstraw- contains iron, magnesium, and calcium, vitamin D and E. These all aid in hormone balance and can help prevent varicose veins and hemorrhoids.
Red Raspberry Leaf- when it comes to teas and pregnancy, this is probably the one most people are familiar with. It can help strengthen the uterus to make contractions during labor more effective. It also has both anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties.
Alfalfa- contains trace minerals that balance cholesterol, blood sugar, and blood pressure. It also contains vitamins D, E, and K. These vitamins can help establish a healthy milk supply.
Make it at home
Making NORA tea at home is extremely easy because the ingredients can be easily found, especially online. Here is one of my favorite places to get the ingredients, they are all organic. It’s so important to try to by organic so that you do not overload your body with harmful pesticides. Don’t be afraid to buy bulk and make up a large quantity.
The tea is 1:1:1:1 ratio of loose leaf! It doesn’t get any better or easier to remember than that!

When to drink NORA tea postpartum
- During birth recovery and postpartum, woman are usually depleted of nutrients! Try to drink this tea at least once a day, but aim for a quart if possible, to help battle fatigue, blood loss, blood pressure, blood sugar imbalances, and mood swings.
This is not medical advice, I am not a doctor. Always consult with your provider before adding any new supplements, especially when pregnant.
